100 Series : Studies

Tension ; 12" X 18"
When I was in school, our professors encouraged us to make studies when we were transitioning between series of work and a little unsure of where we wanted to go next.

In these studies, I wanted to bring a pop of color back into my work, I love neutral tones and have been using them a lot lately, but I was missing colors.  My other goal was to combine the delicate machine embroidery lines with rough pastel lines that were more loosely expressive and chunky, less sensitive looking to bring another element of movement to the piece with a different form of line. I have been enjoying working on paper, it takes the pressure off of "wasting a panel" and I feel free to make actual studies.
Wrap ; 12" X 18"

My plan is to let the buyer decide how they would like the piece displayed:
mounted to a wood panel (2" thick) or
framed in a gallery style frame- white mat, simple gallery style white wood frame
(photos of both of these options to come)

ALL pieces are $100
mounted to 12" X 18" wood panel or in white 18" X 24" frame

Untangle ; 12" X 18"

Down ; 12" X 18"
All Over ; 12" X 18"

another great thing about "studies" is that to me they are like sketches and getting ideas down on paper, so I can sell them to you for less, which is good for interested buyers!

New work: Fiber Drawings on Canvas

To be honest I'm not sure where these pieces are going just yet, I love them as is- raw, simple, delicate embroidery drawings
